Time Out!

I'm calling time out. (LOL because I actually can not do that right now.)

I ALMOST GOT IN THE WRONG CAR THIS MORNING! I need a time out. Please??? Can I get one? (Arguing with myself...)

Maybe next week and that's the best I can do.

Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that everything will not get done. I'm getting ready for a show and doing ten thousand other things. I get anxious and stay up too late, then I don't get enough done the next day because I'm too tired and the cycle continues.

STOP. That's what I'm going to do.

Goodnight everyone.

Love,

T

The Adjustment

Our ability to adapt is so crucial to our progress. It's not always easy. I've been home for over a week now and I still feel unsettled. There's too much to do and not enough time to do it. Focus was easier without so many distractions. A million tasks surround me and they are filling in space like grains of sand in an hourglass.

I'm going to have to prioritize and tackle one task at a time. Something has to give and I'm trying to make sure that it's not my health and well being. Everything will not be accomplished all at once. It's a test of patience.

I know I'm not alone in this. I've seen post after post on various social media platforms of people cycling through frustration, anger, depression and announcements of "taking a break" for mental health reasons.

There's a lot going on for everyone and a lot going on in the world. We're all just trying to make it through, helping each other and ourselves as best we can. I'm reminded to have more patience, not just with myself, but with everyone. Life can be overwhelming. We have to be able to manage and feel good about that. I'm taking deep breaths and remembering that there is only so much I can do in any one given day.

Keep going. Pace yourself. Take breaks and don't feel guilty about them. We need to secure our own oxygen masks before assisting others.

Hey! Look at this!

Much Love to you all...

Slug Week

LOL! WTH is "slug week" ??? 🤣

Earlier in the week, I somehow got a slug stuck to my bare foot - in the house! It must've hitched a ride on my shoe, then I stepped on it by the door.

It was SO GROSS!

Could it be a message for me to slow down? (Maybe, if I were to allow that kind of thing.)

So the boy and I spent some time hiking this weekend. It was a real effort to make the decision to take the time out from the mountain of work, but well worth it.

I'll carry that lesson moving forward and make sure I make time to just recharge.

Wishing you all the time to relax for a bit, no matter how busy life is.

Love,

T

Gone Living

On occasion I've thought of hanging a sign like this instead of blogging.

Here's the thing... it's the holidays! We are all crazy busy. This year, I am going to slow down a bit and enjoy the magic around me. There will be home decorating, traveling, shopping, playing with babies, songwriting, music recording, snow shoveling, family visiting, and ten thousand other things. Let's take lots of pictures AND remember to put down the camera sometimes and just be present in the moment.

Time is so precious. Enjoy all the wonderful moments this holiday season!

Namaste. :)

Follow the Signs

Last week looked like it was going to include a LOT of drive time. The plan was to drive from Western New York to NYC and back. Thankfully, the plan changed and I was afforded the luxury of some much appreciated relax time.

Sometimes you just have to follow the signs...

Sometimes the slower way is better.

This sign from a yard sale reminded me that the best things in life are free...

Then, there were THESE signs...

These reminders that we don't often fit one simple label made me smile...

So as the new week begins, I'll take in all that I see and remember that...

Namaste! xoxo
